Thread: Curious about JTL

I've canceled my account in August. I reactivated it yesterday. I'm curious as to how good JTL is. Can you like smuggle goods in space, and actually deliver them to their destination on ground, or in space? Is their actually a GCW taking place in space? Is the grinding fun, or is it boring? Is their alot of good content? I want to get that game asap, however, I want to wait for the newness to wear out, and see if alot of complaints start rolling in.
Please tell me your current experience (positive or negative)with the expansion. Does it truly bring you hope that the ground game will get fixed and brought to the same level as JTL, or do many of you still feel that the expansion is just here to make money?
I would really appreciate your input.
Another question. My account was active for 7 months I canceled before JTL was released. Does this mean I won't get the veteran ship? No big deal, just curious.

First off, so far the expansion is good. I would buy it.
Now answering your questions:
smuggling-no, there is none, though some NPC missions require you to hold off enemies while smugglers try to jump to lightspeed. But there is a smuggler revamp coming up..I hope.
GCW? Well, there is a lot of pvp going on..there are two pvp zones. JTL is a lot more starwarsy than the ground game IMO, but there is still not a dynamic war-but there is a GCW revamp coming up.
Grinding is more fun. Its more quest based now instead of getting buffed and macroing quenkers.
content-there are good missions that are much better than the ground fedex delivery ones. Unfortunately, I hear that after you complete all of them there is not much to do
JTL opnions-so far I think it is excellent- a lot of fun. Though it does absolutely nothing to the ground game, it gives me a little more faith in the devs for the upcoming combat revamp. So far I am positive about it, but I may not be in 3 months if/when it gets old.
Veteran ship-if your account still exists and can be reactivated, then yes you can get the veteran ship.
