First off I think the new expansion was about the only thing that could have saved this game from all that's been missed. I am jglad that the expansion team went above and beyond what I thought it was going to be. Mainly just the stunning graphics, and the fluid space combat. There are a few things I think that would help.
Frst and foremost, give higher credits for loot from the Commerce raiders, and other things. for people that aren't into the ground game, they would rather be up in space. with how the credits hae been toned down since beta, it's really hard to make enough cash to upgrade your ship. Considering the second ships in line cost about 25k to 35k. and that's just for the blueprints. I'm not saying that the devs should have a hand in the economies of individual worlds. what I'm saying is that if you are a new player, and are really only interested in the flying stuff, the most you will make before you need to get a hyperspace capable ship is at the most 20K
I've had to start a new character, because my the server that my old char was on was terrible in space. bouning around maing things impossible to hit. So with my new guy starting from scratch, tere's no way to really make money in space. All I really care about is flying in spae, and making 6c or at the most 10c from about half the ships I kill means I can't afford any blueprints. To top it all off the blueprints that you buy for large sums of money, you need to pay close to the same amount to trn those into ships.
I am at the second teir of missions, and I can't go do any of them, because I can't afford a ship. when you add up the price that the blueprints cost, the price of the individual pieces in the ship, the price to make the deed, and all the travel expenses to pick things up. You have close to 100k just for the lowest ship, and all the higher end ships cost upwards of a million credits.
If a new player gets to finishing the first teir of missions, and can't go out and finish up his next set of missions, then it's a terrible thing. how long do you think someone who is only interested in space combat to trudge through mission after mission in the terminals, just so they can spend a small portion of their time in space. Credit loot should be able to be the same in the ground game as it's in space. the 6c every two or three kills is pointless in order to be able to buy a new ship.
I have played the last few days over 12 hours a day, and I've made 15k in cash from the first set of missions, and kills. and I've done the duty missions till they gave out 900 a wave, and still it isn't enough to make the 35K that someone wants for a set of dunelizard blueprints.
maybe a YT 3000, or a Firespray should cost a lot, but the fisr couple sets of ships shoud be able to be bought when they are usable.
oh, and adding the ability to check out space on servers to see the quality of lag without making a bunch of new chars would be cool.

Though I' inclined to agree with the money issue, I'm glad the devs make it so you HAVE to go to ground for money. We need that, otherwise the whole game turns into "X-wing". No one in RL (SW RL) that is, spent more than 50% of their time in space. neither should we. When it wears off, I'm gonna land LOL

First of all what server is this? On my server, ships cost 50-100k for the starter one, and 100-200k for the tier 1 ship and 400-600k for the tier 3 ship. I just started a few weeks agobut luckily I went TKM right before I went into space. You cannot avoid the ground, no matter how hard you try. As an imperial pilot, I was forced to join the Imperial Covert faction as I could not enter the Emperor's retreat to access my trainer (Inquisitor Vrke). I also have to run to those trainers and I often get incapped by low level creatures because of my excessive wounds. Yeah, I can't avoid the ground game...and I'm not saying you shouldn't try, but until you get into the tier 3 missions, the money will suck. Considering I do 6 missions for other people to my one, mission money is infrequent as well.
BTW, the bouncing around thing stopped when you changed servers? Damn, I don't wanna change servers! It bounces around like crazy for me. I often lose all my thrust and go down to 0 and then respeed up to "catch up" with the server...and then I can hit enemies. Usually, I shoot straight through things...but I manage to get the most kills anyway when I go up with 4-6 other pilots.
