Let me start by saying I LOVE JTL. The expansion brings a refreshing change of pace that contrasts wonderfully with the terrestrial professions. I also applaud the devs for forcing pilots to group (i'm speaking of the endorimperial missions)and rely on one another becauseall to often have MMORPGs turn into a 'single-player' game where a single person attempts to become so powerful that he/she no longer needs anyone to aid them. However, despite the enjoyment i receive from the game, i'm concered about thelack of accuracy that went into developing the ships. The accuracy i speak of can be noted by the number of threads that address the "mass" imbalance of ships, the unfactual schematics giving some ships abilities that they would not ordinarly have and vice versa.

It would be fantastic if this problem were addressed quickly.

It may be that the developers are basing the mass and abilities of the vessels upon Star Wars conventions. It was a given that the Rebellion has superior ships that were jury rigged and tweaked but that they were in low supply. The Imperials viewed Ties as being highly manoeuvorable but expendable. Privateers were somewhere in between. Conversely on the ground it's supposed to be a different story (... and I do realize the plight of AT-ST right now). In the future with the GCW upgrade Imperials may start to see their advanatage rekindled on the ground... how long that will take requires a crystal ball. The above is all just conjecture. JtLS is a twitch based system where in fairness all people should have some sort of equality. If Imperial ships are going to be lower mass then perhaps then need to balance it off with some beneficial commands... ex. Lower the ability to call support and increase the support granted as you advance... the Empire had almost an infinite number of Ties... and pilots... but that's not so in SWG... the Rebel Pilot population is much vaster.
