I am just curious if anyone has had this happen to them (seems like a bug)..

i was running Tier 2 duty escort missions above yavin IV and all was going well, i did about 4 escort missions but on the 4th one something interesting happened..

there was another group nearby doing missions too.. their ships spawned as intented as did mine.. the odd part that happened was their mission spawns started attacking my freighter.. now as they moved on their ships remained long enough to destroy my freighter..

the problem is that i cannot destroy their mission ships (get the buzzing sound when shot at them)..

in tier 1 this wouldn't have been a problem but i had just made Tier2 and so i was having enough trouble keeping the number of my mission ships down (just as i killed 2 out 3 of 1 wave the next wave would spawn in)..

just wondering if anyone else has experienced this or if this was just some fluke...

I've had this happen to me as well, but in reverse.

Instead of invulnerable reb ships attacking my imp ship, I've had invulnerable imp ships attacking the reb ship I was supposed to board.

Fortunately they were pretty weak and I was able to complete my boarding operation before they blew the ship up.
