Hello everyone. I am having trouble with engine compatibility on my Y-Wing. I am certified for up to Level 3 components. My original engine had a yaw, roll and pitchat 80,80 and 80. I bought a lev.3 cert engine that was at least 180,180,180. When I loaded it into the ship, those stats went from 180 back to 80. That has happened for a few of the engines I have installed! Does anyone have any idea why my ship is not accepting those stats? It is very frustrating because I have put in some good components, but I still can't even defeat Tier 1 ships because I can't keep up with their maneuvers. My ship is like a turtle, especially when rolling (no matter how high the roll rating is on an engine I buy, when I put it in it either reverts to 80, or sometimes 40! I appreciate any suggestions, thanks everyone.

The engine's stats had the Chassis stats added to it and that's what you see. Also those engine stats are for the mass of the engine itself. So the mass of your total load is also figured into your final stats.
P.S. in order to perform and maneuver properly with heavy craft like Y-wings and such you need to reduce speed to around 70-80% thrust. At full speed you don't turn very well.
Also the key to a Y-wing is it's heavy mass load that it can take. I can take waves of tier 3s and 2s and sometimes 4s because I am able to load the heavy shields, armor, capacitors etc etc etc. Also if you are using the normal Y-wing load up a second gun and get a friend to pilot the turret. It'll help out A LOT!

you have to slow down your speed, your turns go quicker then. I HATE the Y-Wing. I can't take on more than 1 Tier 3 ship at a time.
