Thread: Having a problem with my new ship

I got JTL a couple days ago, and haven't had much chance to play it. I was finally able to level up to Imperial Technology I a couple days ago, and I bought my first new ship yesterday. Well, I learned about how I have to manage the ship with all the different components...
Well I've done that. But the problem is, my primary weapon is not working. The weapon I have loaded in is a level 1 cert, I am certified up to level 3. The weapon loaded is also a basic blaster. I was told in game by a Master Shipwright that blasters are ammoless and don't require ammo. I have some kind of component in every other slot tho. I dunno if that matters tho, because I don't know if you need every component full for your ship to function or not. All I know is that when I go into space, my TIE fighter won't fire, despite the fact that I have a basic blaster weapon loaded into it. I have a second weapon that I tried also, tho I can't remember what it was. It's one I looted in space. That one didn't work, so I bought the blaster. Neither weapon works, and that sucks, cuz I wanna blow up some rebels in my new ship.

Wild guess here but it could be a key mapping issue.
When you are in space go to Options (ctlr 0), Controls, Keymap, double check what fire weapon 1 is bound to.

Thanks, I think what happened is when I loaded my capacitor, I didn't click the "Done" button or something, because it didn't take. Cuz for whatever reason when I went back into space, even tho I loaded a capacitor before launch, I didn't have any capacitor stats.
