I have to say I was very disappointed to see there were master shipwrights on day 2. I understand that a lot of people were buying ships and what not but it seems rediculous that someone can master that profession so soon.
It's nice that advancing through the pilot track isn't going as fast, seeing a Imperial ace, or rebel ace on day 2 would also have been disappointing. Mabye there are some but I hope that takes more time.
Personally I think upper level professionsshould have a max daily XP allowed just so that people can't crankthrough them in 2 days. It destroys the game when ppl can get high level professions completed in 2 days.
Too late now...

Yeah - it seems like some people prepared ahead of time, or their guilies helped with the resources. I think that people have gotten too good at grinding...but hey, if they can they will. I don't like capping the daily xp, though.
I myself just made novice Sunday and am still 0.0.0.0 :\ That's what happens when you gather all the stuff yourself.

I mastered it in about 4 hours, probably could have done it in 2.5 hours.
An XP cap per day is not a bad idea, but what really is the point? Having master shipwrights just means folks can get better things to fly with more quickly.
There are enough products that experimentationisn't that important on(paint kits, repair kits, texture kits, chaff, missles) for noobs to have something to sell while they master.

It took me 6 hours to master shipwright - but I could have done it in 1 if I hadn't been fooling around. However, it should be noted, that it took 2 months to collect all the resources needed before hand.

4-6 hours is really disheartening. 2 Months of preperation is fine and dandy but no one should be a master shipwrite just because they ground out ships for 6 hours. It'd be nice to see a master at any profession as someone who has spent at least X amount of time doing that profession. (X would be how many days at very least it takes to become master)
The idea behind putting exp caps in would be to stop ppl from getting to master whatever in 1 day. But if ppl are mastering the profession in 4-6 hours with the proper resources....eh mabye they are giving to much xp per ship built?
Makes busting my butt as a pilot seem insulting when some other profession can work for 6 hours, get master then sell ships for $$$.
Very dissappointed.
