Im curious to see if anyone here has been a part of or know of a successful space pvp event on a large scale.
Tell me what the event was, how it went, how many participants, etc.
Recently, on Radiant, we had a PoB Deep Space battle. Even though the imperial squad completely destroyed us rebels, the battle was pretty even in terms of ships. Each side had 5 cruisers and 1 Ace pilot who stayed out of the fight (Kinda like npc/jerk ace pilot control) Talk about crazy, the fights were held with some rules.
1: No guns/missiles above level 1 cert.
2: PoB ships only, geared with anything else (elite shields, engine, etc)
3: No Epulse
Some of us were skeptical, thinking that the battles would take forever, but level 1 guns do a nice amount of pvp damage.
We went against each other 3 times with the rebels bringing it longer each fight (Even if we kept losing players to fly on our side) There was no denying the imp presense though, they brought the game to the table that night.

Kettemoor's had several now.
The Battle of Kashyyyk - which the Imperials won handily courtesy of some out of date Rebels and the RG TIE/Actis-2. The Imperials had a Decimator present at first, but ended up abandoning it after it went down "in four shots" according to her captain.
The Battle of Corellia - Roleplay scenario, and the first battle with limitations on the use of RG TIEs, Bel-22s and Actis fighters. Rebel victory.
The Battle of Kessel/Deep Space One- Ended in a draw, but introduced Rebel POBs to the mix for the first time with some success. Probably the largest battle so far.
Deep SpaceTwo - Imperials had a field day with the Rebels, marked the first large scale use of missiles in PvP. Large scale use of POBs by the Rebels in the first skirmishes were a complete disaster.
The Battle of Yavin - Tier 3 restrictor battle, no Heavy starters. Rebel victory, one a lot of us had a blast with having to work with the old school chassis for the first time in way too long.

Ahazi just started the first of what will hopefully be weekly Friday Free-for-alls sponsored by my Guild: Shadow Squadron. The first week was a resounding success!! We had at least 25 players in Deep Space, and though the Imperials greatly outnumbered the Rebs (as it should be....if you all didnt have equally powerful ships lol) we still managed to make a great fight out of it and everyone had a blast. We are going to attempt to add different games such as...Capture the Nova or Decimator (flag) and other goal based missions.
If you are on ahazi and want to be a part of this...please Email or Tell Pa-Hon, Corvalis, or Ristari. Thanks!

The second ever organized space PvP event on starsider (almost a year ago now) had the largest turnout I'd ever seen; the Rebels had over 100 pilots stuffed into both fighters and PoBs, and the Imps had at least 50 people.
It was awesome.
