I was reading the sneak peak topublish 11.2 and read this.
Crafted and looted droid interface stats are now tiered appropriately---low level crafted items have higher command speeds, and high level items have lower command speeds
Is this reversed or is it correct? I thought you wanted a high command speed. Why would you want a level 7 droid interface if it has a lower command speed than a level 3?

Maybe it works like weapons. Where a "lower" number in the speed field means that it will take less time. So in that case, "speed" is actually "delay".

The lower the speed on droid interfaces the better. It was the wrong way around before.

I think the issue here is they wanted to go for higher numbers on all parts being better.
However what you would want on a computer is to have a lower number because that would mean its faster. I think they should leave it the way it is, because all other parts are this way, and now we have to go OH we dont want the better number on this part alone, we want the lower number.. I say leave it the way it is now...

So as it stand right now. Which one is better? My lvl 1 at 14.1 or my lvl 4 at 24.3. Please let me know.

Awesome! My Tier 10, 10.1 speed droid interface with 5K mass might actually be worthy of being called a Tier 10 part!

Please tell me you guys are joking about the lower speed being better. I really DID have a lvl 1 with a 14.1 speed and only 500 mass. I put it on the Bazaar last night for 500 credits. I hope it is still there. I thought we wanted the higher number thinking that they meant amount of data to transfer and actual speed or delay.

I still don't get it. My way of thinking is this, which is better, pentium 1.0 ghz or pentium 3.0 ghz. the higher the better.
Are yousaying that I actually want a lower number?
Or think of this way. Which is better, a 16 lane highway, or a 32 lane highway.
Or the speed limit, what is better 40 mph, or 65 mph?
To my way of thinking, the higher speed should be better.
I will assume that the statment is correct, and you actuall want a low number for droid interface speed though.

Which would you prefer, a droid interface that takes 14 microseconds to process a command or one that takes 42 microseconds to process a command?
The reason a 3Ghz processor is better than a 1Ghz processor is because it has more clock cycles per second to process commands.
Since the way they implemented the stat was to measure how long it takes to process a command, smaller is better.

does anyone know if the higher the droid speed is better or the lower the speed? is lower faster or worse? is higher faster or worse?

droid speed = # seconds command is delayed+ (base) , so.....
15 spd = +15 sec delay
32 spd = +32 secon delay
lower is better
