I've come back recently to SWG, having left before JTL, and I LOVE space. But I am working up the freelance tree, and I am really confused about the ships, and could use some advice. Near as I can tell, the Dunelizard is a better ship than the Kimogila. It's not quite as heavy (cant hold as much I guess), but a heck of a lot more maneuverable. As I havent been past 1 1 2 2, can anyone fill in the benefits of each tier of ships? I currently have my Dune loaded with full lvl 2 gear, and it is still only at 22k or so burden, so I think I have plenty of room left to grow. Also, any suggestions or thougts on Tier 3? Any and all advice is very graciously welcome. Lol I have 3 players, and have enrolled one in each of the pilot professions . Space crazy...Yah I'm space crazy muahaha.

Thanks all

Yeah I used my Dunelizard all the way until the end. It's just a slick ship all the way around. I would suggest (if you have the credits) taking the time to fly the others, just so you have the experience and can learn them, but your Dune Lizzy will serve you well for a long time; if you treat her right.

Yes, agree with all the Dunelizard is very underrated. The Basic and Advanced fighter ship certifications should be the other way round ship wise IMO (although not saying I WANT it that way!) Dunelizard beats both ships made available in Advnaced fighters hands down.

It was wierd. I went out and started looking at the ships available. The rebels at box 1 get the Y-wing. What a beast . 150k in size. Then the other extreme. Imps get a Tie thats 22k. So if you fall right in the middle of those two,and you have the Dunie. I will probably upgrade to style 2, which, IMHO is so much slicker looking than 1. Wish I had known that before I bought mine and my wifes style 1 . Thanks for the input. And I've got4 Bellabubs waiting to get used, if we can just drag ourselves away from grinding and back out into space......

The final frontier....These are the voyages of the starship boobyprize.....Weeeeee

PS - Whats the max number of ships you can have? And are there any rebels out there using the Jedi Starfighter? Is it worth going temporary Imp?

Thanks

I think playing style also plays a role in your opinion on the ships. For example, I went up from a Dunelizard to a Kimo and enjoyed the heavy fighter. I wanted to fly a big ship, instead of some fast, small one. I'm currently flying a Rihkxyrk, and am very pleased with it, although the cockpit view did take a bit of time getting used to.

i used dunelizard until i got jsf. Duneliz is a solid ship and more maneuverable and just as much mass as anything else. One of the dunelizards actually has a pretty small hit box (the one with no tail/rear fuselage.).
