I just picked up ROTW last night and would like to know where your quest for the mining lasers? Also for the upgraded Xwing quest?

The mining missions start with Flash on the first level of the big tree on Kashyyyk. The x-wing mission begins at the Kashyyyk space station.

I have a question..In the mining mission,after you get your large cargo hold..There is a mission where you are supposed to use a tractor beam to tractor out something on a transport.I pointed my tractor beam at every part of the transport..yet it doesnt work.I havent been able to finish this mission for months now...Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks

Did you bind your tractor beam to a key assignment? Don't worry about weapon slot, weapon group, etc. If you try to "fire" the tractor beam, it won't work.

who do you talk to start the mining quest to get your equipment?

I have the stuff to mine the astroid in space, cargo hold and mining laser..the ones i get from the guy on talus. I go to space to get the 250 resources he is asking for, but I can mine the astroid. I pound on it for at least 5 min with no luck, no pieces falling off for me to shoot and bring into my cargo hold...as soe claims is one way you do it. The other is with a tractor beam, which I dont have, I didnt want to spend 300k to buy one and not have it work.

never mind, bought a better mining laser and tractor beam, works fine now

Just another thing to note... the asteroid was probobly empty.
When they have all the minerals mined out of them, you have to shoot them for a while, and nothing will happen, then it will blow up, and a full one will spawn in that you can mine from. It takes almost forever to blow up an empty one with the starting mining laser they give you, and as a result, a lot of jerks go around empting asteroids and moving on the next one without cleaning up the empties, resulting in lots of posts like this one. So remember, when you empty an asteroid, keep pounding that sucker until she blows!
