Okay, I did a few searches, but I really didnt know how to go about finding an answer to this question.

Alright, I am a master pilot... been one for a while now. I am looking to gain Faction XP in space, and I know that I cannot enter deep space because of the whole Rebel/Imperial Prestige problem. I can enter Kessel, but i would likely die, and I don't want to decay my ship, as I paid several million in upgrades on it.

Here is the question:

If I go to a Rebel space Station, and Declare Overt status... and go fight Tie Fighters in another system (other then Kessel) will I gain Faction Xp for destroying Ties in "say" Endor Space? Also, If I am overt, will this mean I am a target to all players in that space sector? Or does PvP only work in Deep Space and Kessel?
