How about SOE re-codes the Euro servers so that they do not go JtL live until then...

Nooooo, they wouldn't possibly do that, that would be unfair to the Americans that play on the European servers now, wouldn't it! Rather than the majority of players on those servers... let's help out the minority.

And what was with the 'Thanks' comments from both Tiggs and TH when they explained the release date? Sorry what are you thanking us for Tiggs and TH?

For understanding why this has occured with SWEET FA explanation as to why from either of you? Erm, sorry but no, we aren't thankful for your message, in fact a lot of us, as you can see are very much annoyed and want an explanation, something neither of you has failed to do.

I work in a call centre as a customer service rep and I know that if there is a delay in something a customer is going to want to know WHY and it would be my duty to advise them as best as I can...

And TH is supposed to be a Community Relations Manager???

One word... resign, or better yet for TH's manager... sack him, because he has proven to be unworthy of the title.

/sigh

Oh look, we have a cave troll... 1 *ing us.../yawn

Okay seeing as TH and Tiggs, clearly have no clue, I'll state that it appears from what I have heard, that it is the same darn thing that has caused titles in the past to be 'delayed in Europe'.

I used to play Neverwinter Nights before I got SWG and when the 'Shadows of Undrentide' expansion came out, it was delayed... it turns out the reason for this was due to some marketing plan by Atari, the Games suppliers (or whatever they are called) decided that whilst the discs were nicely tucked away in there storage houses in the UK around same time it was being released in the States, that we weren't going to get it for another week. It would appear that Activision seem to think (for some crazy reason) that JtL is going to have an affect on how many people buy 'Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas' this coming Friday???? so because they want to push GTA:SA out, they're holding back with JtL?

Any normal kind of game, I could near enough understand this, but when we're talking about an mmorpg, I think that it would be far more intelligent for them to release it ASAP, so as to avoid getting tons of hate mails from annoyed players.

I still stand by my initial post, simply because as I have said once again in this reply, TH and Tiggs, clearly don't seem to have a clue or would rather take the flack than let us all have a go at Activision instead. As stated, seeing as no explanation was given by either, considering one is the community relations manager, you aren't relating with the community very well TH!

There is a rumour going around that one particular high street company will be ignoring Activisions request and will actually have JtL on the shelves this Friday in the UK, to them, I raise a glass and say cheers, now if only the rest would follow suit and show Activision that they need new market researchers!

I totally agree guys...........

I used to work in the industry and have been asking a few old colleagues / contacts if they have heard anything. Rumour is, and I stress its only rumour, that Activision totally failed to anticipate the demand for the product and consequently havent the stock to fulfilll pre-orders, let alone stock for the major high street stores.

I find this reasonably plausible, but it would be interesting to know whether Activision made the decision themselves or if Sony made the decision? Either way the most annoying part of this is the fact that we have not had so much as an apology. The 1 line confirmation from TH borders on insulting, and you have to seriously question anyones credibility as a Community Relations Manager when the dont relate to the community.

As we have such a large European community isnt it time that we had some sort of European Correspondent that can champion european issues ???
