Thread: Flying around planets?

Are planets actually intenties? or just part of the background? can you actually like fly really close to them or fly around them.. if not thats kindof stupid..
And.. how big and how many different liek sectors are there? (theres not much in a sector.. its mainly just a space station and pure space.. nothing to do!)

The planets are just background images and there are 10 sectors (8 for the planets with 2 planets in both the Naboo System and Correllia Systyem & 2 PVP zones which are the Kessel Sector and the Deep Space Sector)

The game that I've played which accoplished this the best (3d, planet intities) is MSFT's Freelancer. You can land on, burn up in (if you fly too close..), and fly around all the planets in the system. And there were MANY planets in the systems. That's the game I compaired JTL to, leaving me somewhat disappointed.
Edit: One thing that I do like in JTLare the fully customizable ship components. This opens so much for a game in terms of playability.
