Thread: So I can't do damage....

For awhile I've noticed that at times my shots which hit enemy ships will do no damage at all. I know I'm hitting because I can see the shied animation absorbing the shots. Anyone know why this happens? Am i bugged? I am 4443 Corsec pilot flying a rihkxyrk.

Its because your out of sync with the server, and the enemy ship is not showing in the proper spot on your screen. It may appear that you are behind the enemy and shooting him, but as far as the server knows, you are not behind him and your shots are missing. This has been a problem since beta, and they havent made any attemp to fix it, to my knowledge. What you have to do, is just fly around unitl you warp backwards "aka rubberband". This will place you where the serverf actually thought you were, after which, you should be able to actually score hits fora while, unitl it goes out fo sync. This bug is the primary reason that many of the mission are not soloable, because you have a limited time to kill the enemies, and cant because it wont stay in sync long enought to kill them in time. In my opinion, they leave this bug unfixed on purpose, as a cheap way to force players into grouping, since that seems to be the only way the devs want us to play this game, is if we are in a group.

Viper is right. Same happened to me, I was not paying attention while chasing some TIE in kessel. Than whoopiee its gone and my rear sheild and armor gone. 8(

Lag issues aside, that little green targe cursor is there for a reason. You should shoot into it. When you pass close to a ship you can shoot at it even when the cursor is not on it. It's shields will do the "hit" animation yet you will not do any damage. It's nothing that is really broken. It's just a minor nuisance.

ive been playing this game since Nov and i have ALWAYS had to aim closer to the target than the lead indicator indicates to score consistant hits. now i always have to change my lead. one second i have to aim before the lead indicator, next i have to be right on it to hit, and then suddenly i wont do any damage unless i aim WAY ahead of it. im out of sync with the server, and i think its do to all the little chunks of rock floating around from people who are mining and only collecting half of what they break off.

Try turning your particle effect, and your nebula effects all the way down, it may help out, has for some people.

I have been suffering with this in a big way trying to do the Kashyyyk Missions. I did not know about the sync issue at least this gives me something to look for. I have all my options right down but it does not seem to help.
