Thread: Space Combat is SCREWED. Targets jump erractically. Player warps frequently. HELP

I think, as other have noted, that it's also a side effect of the asteroid bits. If you play after a server reset, life is great and the targets behave normally. By evening, they're erratic.
I went to deepspace yesterday and was flying near the rebel station when it start shooting at Imperial ships. Pretty soon the zone became laggy, and ships there started doing the bumblebee act as well.
This definately needs to be addressed soon, it basically makes sectors of space unplayable.
There's a link in the FAQ concerning ways to fix the 'drunken bumblebee' effect. I'd recommend checking it out.
you can also do a forum search on drunken bumblebee.
Cheers.

If your referring to the stickied FAQ in this JTL forum your incorrect, there is no reference to this problem what so ever listed...
But thanks for nothing at all.

As the subject goes ....
Since CU/ROTW, I have been experiencing weird peformance with Space Combat.
My ship engine keep cutting in and out each time I warp.
And the worst thing is that enemy targets warp abt erractically making it near impossible to target and complete missions.
Is this a known issue?
Any information will be most appreciated.
Thanks.
I had the exact same problem. My solution, believe it or not, was to physically disconnect my joystick from the computer. After doing that, the space combat was smooth. No idea why. So I'm forced to use a mouse. Of course, now the combat is too easy
Yup... here's another thread in the TECH forum.... hope this helps you, sometimes it works by the looks of it !

My friend this is a very common bug that plagued me for a while before I came to a pretty simple conclusion. Though the fighters may just erratically when your after them, when you joust head on you can indeed score hits on a "jumpy" target. That right, get agro and then boost out to 800+, turn back and do a head on with your jumpy target. They will fly right into your fire and will pull off. Now ive actually had jumpy targets revert to normal aft5er a single pass, but in the case that they remain jumpy just repeat jousting til the target is disabled.
