well no they wont. devs addressed this inone of thier Q/A' session with players. Here is an extert with your question:

Question: Hello, for all us Wookie players i am wondering. We are not as small and slim like the other species. We're big and we take up much room and from all the photos we seen of ship cockpits, they seem kinda small. How will you address wookies fitting in ships? And will weexcluded from wearing pilot uniforms like those we seen in the movies?

Good question, we've havent been aware of this issue until Cino Barnes, Leader Designer of JTL, had many complications when flying ships such as X-wings and Tie fighters with wookie characters. We thought there was something wrong with the subscripts for wookies until we found, they were just too large, this also caused problemswhen tryingto equip uniforms as well. So after addressing the issue for abouta week, we finally found a solution. Prior to JTL we are asking all players will Wookie characters to go on the Subway Diet and loose some pounds. We've found that after the diet, though the suits are a tight fit, they are equiped perfectly. Ciano recommends the Classic Club salad with Ranch dressing, low fat ranch of course, and the new Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki sandwhich.

Alright... I've read the forums for a very long time...never felt like posting... but I have some questions...

1) I am BH 0040 Smug 0040 M.Pist and I'm working on getting the Ranged Acc FS boxs, I plan on going all the way to Jedi. So this question is basic. Smug pistol tree, I know Last Ditch is the most powerful shot in the game. Does it hit just the health bar? Is it worth holding onto that entire line just for that shot? I use a geo gun that does around 300max so I'm happy with it.

2) I PVP -alot- I have a hard time with TKM's that know what they are doing. Is this for everyone? I eat my dodge cake and what not but they are tricky. Is it my armor? Or are they just that great? I get knocked down and half the time I have to end otherwise I'll get pwnd.

3) Getting a DE10... I have a great ws for it (jedismith yay!). But cash is a HUGE problem. Where do you guys get your millions of credits?!?

4) I've gotten to 1700 PVP rating. So I really love my template. I had to drop medic so I can't heal. If the smug. pistol line is -not- worth Last Ditch. Where should I pop those points? If it is worth keeping is NOVICE TKA good for the meditate or is it all hype?

5) IfI get BH 3000 to get Jedi.... can this kind of template solo them with the right EQ?

Thankx alot!

Take the following with a grain of salt-- I have been a Pistoleer/Smuggler for a long time, but I am downright pathetic in PvP.

1) Last Ditch is indeed the most powerful pistol shot in the game. It has a 6x modifier vs. the 5x Pistoleer Stopping Shot. Both shots hit a random HAM but seem to favor health. Last Ditch also has a chance (75%?) to stun, which is good-- keeping states on your opponent makes you last longer. Shooting LD at the speed cap is a good place to be if you want to use a pistol as your primary weapon.

2) TKM's are a tough bunch. I am a TKM as well, but we have our limits. The big one will be range. If you can kite them, do so. If they get within range to do a lunge on you, it's dizzy, knockdown, and flop like a fish time. Keep your distance and you have a better chance! A ranged knockdown like Low Blow from Smuggler is nice, but hard to stick on a well played Master. If you go up against a TKM, remember the Kinetic damage, take any food you can to reduce damage (Synthsteak) and knockdown (Thakitillo), and try to stay on your feet. Pikatta Pie will increase your dodge, but I wouldn't fill up your stomach just yet-- keep some room for other buffs or to increase a dropping HAM bar.

3) Good DE10s cost millions. You can take a chance in the Death Watch Bunker trying to loot a schematic and some yellow components. That's what I am working on now, and it's definitely a chore. The only other alternative is to grind out a couple million and watch your server's trade forum. You know a good WS, so you have that covered!

4) I used to rely on Medic in combat, but it can quickly pale in comparison against someone that deals a lot of damage. Those elite Stim B's won't keep up with someone beating on you when you're down. If you want to stick with pistols as your primary weapon, I'd go for that Smuggler DF line. Novice TKA won't help you much in a pistol fight. Now, if you want to strap on some Vibro Knucklers, that's a different story...

5) After the CU, you should be able to be a Master Pistoleer, get the Smuggler DF line, and get at least 3-0-4-0 in BH (and more!). You would be wicked with pistols and be able to hunt Jedi. It's hard to tell what is going to happen with the CU, but it certainly seems viable-- a ranged knockdown, 6x damage shots at a speed cap, and eye shot if they're weak in the mind. Only caveat is that you will probably still have to be a patient and ruthless opponent to hunt Jedi. If that's where you want to head, I'd wait to see what the CU has to offer before you develop your final template. You may also want to consider professions that can work crowds, since some Jedi like to hunt in groups or with an entourage.

HTH. Like you said, it's had to say for certain, since the CU could change things drastically, but that's what has been working for me now.

We need more people like you on ! Thank you, very helpful info about the LD shot. Now all I gotta do is find people that have the ballz to go DWB with me... now about that place... certain BS's drop stuff right? Like snipers and warlord tuskens drop crystals. Do you know the names of the BS's that do that?

Thankx again

Testify4 did a pretty good job of answering your questions, so I just have 2 comments:

First, FS Ranged Accuracy, as well as Ranged Speed, are both currently broken, so I wouldn't waste any time grinding either of those until they get fixed, unless you've already grinded (ground?) the rest of the lines you need and you just want to fill the boxes in anticipation of their being fixed someday. Ranged Defense and Melee Defense are good working alternatives for a pistoleer right now.

Second, regarding TKM Novice, the skill point requirements for that profession are about to get a lot higher when the CU comes out, because 2-handed swords will become a prerequisite, in addition to the current unarmed line.I don't know what swords have to do with being a TKA, but that's what was announced.

Like usual search doesn't want to work for me right now so here's some questions for everyone. I remember hearing talk that they were considering making it possible to use the passanger ships without having to have other people with you, me it an option to fix the guns or have droids (or even faction pets [have to have added something for freelance pilots... RSF and CorSec get RSF or CorSec personal and smuggler guild people get smuggler and pirate pets]) . Has this been scrapped or is it in or what? Would love to fly some of the big ships but don't want to have to hunt down x amount of people to do a mission or whatever.

Also, does anyone know a website or whatever where they have pictures of what each of the paint and texture kits look like? I hate spending money on something and not knowing what it's going to do and worse yet, to find out I don't like how it looks.

Thanks

Kyle

Check the FAQ in the pilot or shipwright forums; there's links to most of the ship/texture combinations out there.

As for the POB/MP ships becoming single-player? I highly doubt it. Especially with SOE now 'encouraging' group play, to get more people involved. The only thing I've read on the subject have been a few posts like yours, asking if it is possible

Right now, no, and not in the pipeline AFAIK.
