When a mission if 14,000 meters away it takes like 5 minutes to get there. Is there a way to hyperspace to a waypoint?

To a waypoint? No. To another sector? Yes. If you have a good idea of which space sector your mission target is in, you can make a hyperspace jump to get there. Me, I just fly. But I don't know the sectors very well at all.

Check your inspace map for the closest hyperpoint to your waypoint and hyper there. Thats about the best you can do.

Do all of the above.
Note: When you take a mission and it tells you not to leave the system, you can still jump to any sector in that system without failing the mission. There are some rare missions that you need to be within X meters or you will fail. I have a habit of jumping to the station for repairs or to get away from a heavy spawns.
