I can't get my joystick binds to work either. I get them all set up in the options, click "apply" then "ok", but nothing works...

Guys I've seen people say it's hard to do but how do you bind your joy sticks so that you can fight in space using it?

The joystick should automatically work with the default keymap, but you can change it to whatever you're comfortable with. When you get into space, go into the keymap. There will be a tab for ship. There you can go through and change the bindings to however you want them by clearing the existing binding and then pressing the joystick button you want to use.

I have an Xbox USB adapter and I play with my Xbox controller. It works fine now, but the default configuration is kinda crummy.
I use software called XBCD, which lets me set any button to any feature (analogs for rudder or sliders, etc.) and also lets me set force feedback, which works perfectly in the game.
Just a heads up for anyone else possibly having troubles with an Xbox controller in SWG.

Wait until you're in space to change your bindings - You'll have options available to you in space you dont have on the ground.

Hitting "OK" on ui screen isn't enough, also hit "APPLY" when done with the changes, i had no problem remapping the keys for my MS Sidwinder 2 joystick.
