HI all,

You may remember my questioon from yesterday about being a launch member and having to quit for a time due to open heart surgery. I asked if I would qualify for the yacht, and the answer from most was no. Well I logged into the beta today and received a email saying I had 270 days and thus a reward. So I got the yacht. My question is this: this is just not a beta test yacht is it, or will I be receiving one when the game comes out in a few days? Meaning, not everyone in beta received the yacht, only those eligible??

Everyone on beta rates the Vet Reward. It is for Test purposes. Has no bearing on Live. So you probably will not get it.

On a side note....once you do hit 6 months...you will get the Vet Reward....so Yes you do rate it eventually.

so I am screwed due to almost dying and having heart surgery at a young age. If I would have known THAT, I would not have allowed the doctors to do the surgery, to keep my active status alive instead

Your not screwed...you will just get it when your account hits 6 consecutive months. Not really a big deal honestly. Other then RP there is no point to even using the Vet Reward, it doesn't attack or anything...its just a ship that...flyies.

Also it is big and slow, and I can't see over the console. If you play on Naritus, look out for a yacht that you can only see knuckles on the controls. That will be me.

I know of 8 people in beta who did NOT qualify for the veteran yacht reward. And low and behold all 8 have NOT been playing6 months. So not everyone gets the yacht reward. So we shall see.

I got on last night I qualified. However, I havent played 6 consecutive months from the JTL Launch-back. I've played

JUne 26th - Feb 26th (well past 6 months)
Sometime in April - Late June
Somtime in July - present.

I pondered if it was a pure beta testing move, but everyone I've talked to said that if you have 6 consecutive months AT ALL since launch of SWG, you get it.

The real way to tell is what everyone's day total was set to. I had 360 (because I've played over a year total I suppose)...what did everyone else get? If they were all the same then I'd say it was there to test. If everyone was different then I'd say everyone who got it in beta gets it in live.

What makes you think you'll get It after the release after 6 months? I'm pretty sure you had to be playing 6 months before release.

it was stated somewhere befor that if you dont qualify for it yet, when you have wracked up 6 months you will get it

hey you will get it. and t was not just a beta thing. i alot of ppl that did not get that email. so i bet that you get it. and hope your doing well. have fun flying....

I'm in the same basic situation account-wise as the OP (played since August of last year, quit for four months and came back recently). I also got the Yacht message on SpaceBeta server, but it told me I was eligible for the 360 day reward, not the 270 day if I remember right (it won't let me log on there now for some reason) To me it only makes sense. Consider someone that had some sort of account problem that prevented them from logging on or flagged their account as cancelled erroniously (I've seen it happen). Would it be fair to screw those people out of their yacht due to a software error? Also consider that when you look at your account status it shows original purchase date, current status and current billing cycle etc., nowhere does it show breaks in account activity. Seems to me it would be easier to just code the system to read the same database, especially since everyone will get a yacht eventually..

Anyway, we'll find out for sure on Wednesday

I sure hope so...becuase even though it's slow as heck and can't partake in combat, it just looks so "uber"...
