Might want to post which squad you're talking about. There are 3 imperial squads and not all of the missions are exactly the same.

Not doable it seems, im quitting the imps for now and join the alliance, looks like some imp hater made these missions.

Keep in mind that when you leave a pilot profession/faction you lose ALL of your skills in that profession and must start over. Might want to just wait until they fix the issue in a couple days.

My friend and I almost finished it, but we had some teir 4 pirates intervene. We only needed 4 more kills I estimate. It is doable.

I'm having the same problem with Privateer Tier 3 first mission (Recover Stolen Weapon i think is the name). I'm in the smuggler's alliance.
You have to capture a ship, then escort it to some place while about 10 waves of 3 Tier 3 ships attack you. Got through that.
But then, it says the mission continues... Ok, fine by me. I go to the wp... 3 other ships to kill 1 Tier 4 and 2 Tier 3. Got thought that.
After that, another waves of 3 ships... all Tier 4 this time. Got killed by 4 missiles i think.

Black Epsilon's tier 3 first mission, done with 2 player group, now stuck at 2nd mission we failed with 4 well equiped player...

i finished it with a squadron of about 5 people. took way too long and was much much more difficult compared to the black epsilon mission.

tier 3 ships are a walk in the park with level 5 weapons, as Imp pilot I do those quite easily and with only 1 projectile weapons (tie/in)
