Thread: can someone help me with some ship questions?

So far I've been able to mix and match parts ok, but I just had a few questions for one of the experts. On the management screen theres a number for maximum energy for my ship, (at least I think that's what it is), and it looks as though I've gone over the limit cause it says in red, for example 12,000/10,000. In essence I have 12k of power for a ship that only takes 10k. I'm still able to fly,but was wondering what effect it had on the ship and how do ifix this. Also, I think I have missiles and countermeasures loaded, but anytime I try to use them, I get a weapon disabled message. And lastly, does match speed work? Ive tried several times, and just to check, I've cranked my engine down, selected a ship, selected match speed and my engines dont boost to match the other ship and the other craft just flys right by me. Thanks in advance for any help.

Well I'll try to answer as best I can.
In regards to going over your available power, I'm not sure how it affects you, but your total available power is determined by your reactor. The best I've been able to find is just over 10k in a nice small package for a fighter. Upgrade your reactor to get a better energy level.
With the missles and countermeasures, I understand that you have the ammo for those, but do you have the actual launchers for them? I haven't had experience with them, but I do think that the actual missle launcher is loaded seperately (under weapons) from the actual missles (under ordenance).
