Thread: Engine STAT bug!

The followingSTATs migrate from Engine stats: Pitch Acceleration Rate (PAR), YAW Acceleration Rate (YAR), Roll Acceleration Rate (RAR)... once you install the components and repair it would become two digit vs three.


It would say as follows:
PAR 180.0
YAR 180.0
RAR 140.0


Thenonce installed it would say:
PAR 80.0
YAR 80.0
RAR 40.0


Sometimes the intial number appear:
PAR 800.0
YAR 800.0
RAR 400.0

That's not a bug!
That's the stats adjusting for the chassis you put it in, and besides... it the max rate that is important.

The only bug is that the acceleration rates still show on engines. Those stats used to be engine based but now they are based on the chassis the ship is put in. So they will change to the set value for that ship when you plug the engine in(this is how the game differentiates ship handling).


The engines also used to have accel and decel stats but those were removed because they are also chassis based now, not engine based.


So, ignore the pitch/yaw/roll acceleration rates on an engine. Those are ship based. The maximums, however, are not.

I can only second what the first poster wrote.


I first had an Y-Wing with an enginePAR 180, YAR 180 and RAR 180. It worked just fine. Then I switched to Y-Wing Longprobe, and I suddenly had PAR 70 and so on. Couldn't try to switch it back (servers went down), but I don't believe the stats change back. Even in my inventory it shows the lower stats....


Now I am pitching and rolling REALLY slow.


Ah, yes, another thing what really bugs me!

I have stored all my looted components in my yacht. But whenI am at the starship terminal and manage my other ships, those stored parts still show up as available. When I click them, the game says it cannot localize the stuff...


It's damn annoying to keep the overview this way...

I wish I knew this earlier. I've been shunning engines thinking they were bad based on these stats.

How do u know what a ships maxes are? Like their limits?
