Thread: Docking with Multiplayer Ships

Is there anyway we could get it so if a friend is up in his Party Ship (or any multiperson ship) that we could dock with the ship and load inside? Its kind of a hassle to have the pilot land and load back up and the dock command is already in the game. The person would type /dock on the ship which would open a menu similar to the Group Invite box which would say "Jimbob wants to dock with you." with a Accept and Deny option, probably make it with for group only as well. Then, like how the party ship has the escape pod terminal, add a docking terminal which would allow the person to leave again.
Of course this causes a few problems, since like the party ship is immune to damage, it would make for making some missions too easy (hide in the ship then undock to complete then jump back inside to avoid damage and death). There could be a TEF-like system to allow that from happening, like in the current ground game for running into houses. Also in PVP it would be bad because in a battle people would just send in a party boat then 10 TIE fighters jump out all of a sudden. Those would be the worst problems I can see.
It would be pretty fun to meet up like that in space and hook up at a party ship, but Im not sure how well it could work technically. To me it doesn't seem like it would be too difficult, it would almost be like how when you switch to the pilots chair and back out on a multiperson ship, the game switches modes with a short lag between.

No, this is not in game from what i experienced in beta.
would be nice and possibly added later in game.
as far as TEF, TEF is not in space and plz lets keep it that way before people ruin the game with it, it would be simply, u can not dock while in combat (combat music indicates when in combat) so that would prevent the hiding death thing.
