I finally got my ship and got into orbit for my first space combat. This is great. I love the change of pace from the ground game.
Got a couple questions. I pick up some goodies on loot, well what do I do to retrofit my ship? Do I need to dock at a space port, or can I just dock at a space station. Also, can I retrofit them myself?
Got a droid, an engine, and another item or two.

Yup - it's great, isn't it? 
To upgrade your ship, you need to land and use a starship terminal.. select your ship and choose the option "Manage"..
You can then install whatever other parts you have in your inventory

This is what I love to do. It is one the whole reasons I got the game.
Anyway, need to get outta that tin can though, and into something alittle more equipped. I am a pilot for Royal Naboo currently, but hopefully, after I have advanced some, I will move on to moreprofitable things.

I chose the first one on the list (starts with a C, but I cant remember right away (at work)). It was the one that said recommended. LOL!

heh ok - if you were on Farstar, I'd offer to take you up flying with our squadron - nothing compares to a full-scale dogfight with an entire 12 fighter squadron behind you

Yeah, the difference in play-style between the core game and JtL is a perfect contrast. Now, when I get sick and tired of the tedium of grinding away on mindless click'n'watch ground battles, I can head skyward for some fast-paced dogfighting. It's a beautiful thing.
