I mean...it feels like a completely different game...like...the next X-wing alliance or something. I dunno what could be done to fix this...short of removing the fast travel from starports and having actual passenger shuttles that people ride on...but we know that'd never fly....
but still, why does JTL feel so..left out?

Personally, I think that JTL compliments SWG/ED quite well. Can spend hours on end in the various aspects of the ground game, and when they become tedius or un-fun, jump to space and play arcade style. As a side benefit, the space side supports the ground game travel, credit and faction point requirements nicely. Always hoping for uber compenents to RE or that Black Sun helmet
Would be super if they would add content and integration, but frankly I think that the current JTL admission cost is at about the right price point as an expansion. The ground game is the core of SWG and honestly only expect minor tweaks occasionally in space. It would be interesting to have insight into player statistics; what percentage of online time is spent in space by the community? My guess is it would be somewhere below 10%...maybe 5%...less? I guess the other statistic I'd be interested in is how many personnel at SOE employed solely to support the JTL side? But that approaches imponderables more plentiful than stars in the sky....

What are you talking about??? Yes it was mean't to feel like a completely different game like Xwing vs TIE etc... it's a twitch based combat simlulator in space that exists in the same universe as the ground portion... not understanding what you're getting at...

It's an expansion. Not everyone owns it so it can't be fully integrated.

I understand what you're saying.
To me it feels like another game, not SWG. Although, I think it's really a split issue.
I just wish it would be more integrated into the ground game.
One aspect of this is the moenia droid quest. You do most of it on the ground, but the last part is in space. That was a good quest, and if more of things like that are integrated, it would bring the two games together.

give it time, it really seemed like the second JTL came out they pointed all guns at the ground game in an attempt to impove things that were so broken for so long. as time goes on we'll see more and more integration i'm sure.
keep in mind also, you can't get much more integrated than the MP ships, and the GCW changes should bring more people to space. toss in a few more quests, some additional content, dockable space stations and about the only thing you could do to make things more integrated is literally flying down to the starport and landing on people waiting for the shuttle.

I agree. It does feel different than the game. If anyone remembers the game Earth and Beyond. They should make it like that. Maybe when you land on a space station you can walk around on it and buy chasis and parts...and have a cantina in it. It wouldnt be hard to do...just add a few more servers...that would be sweet!
