I believe the Sorosuub was once intended to function as a normal ship and actually had turret hardpoints. If you scroll back from cockpit view and look closely you can actually see the locations in which turrets were supposed to have been. Obviously this was changed, but the turret access tunnel still exists without the ladder.

Ah I see. Perhaps its a sign of more functionality to come in the future.

Forgive me if this has been asked already, but I can't seem to locate it with some basic searches.
Does anyone know what the manhole looking alcove is near the fore escape pod? It looks like the turret access ladder in the YT, but on the Sorosuub I don't think it does anything. Has anyone had any luck?
Also, does "Use" on the Ship Permissions Terminal do anything? I think it does nothing for me.
