Thread: Can you go faction rebel as a freelance pilot?

Can you go to a faction base and declare yourself rebel if you are working on the freelance tree? I like the freelance ships but am i rebel at heart... han fought for the rebels even though he was a freelancer...
I have not tried this yet and figured i might just ask... I want to kill imps in my firesprayand get faction for them
Also since servers are down and im curious... you can only work on one pilot profesion right? cant be rebel and freelance at the same time?

Single pilot profession at a time, yes.
A freelance pilot can go overt in space and gain faction for killing Imperial NPCs, however:
There's no way for a freelance to get into Kessel or Deep Space as an overt, you're limited to going along on a factioned pilot's duty mission, or killing natural NPCs in normal zones to earn faction.
