I am sure this has been asked before. I did a search and no luck.

How do you go to Kessel space if you are a rebel? I know you are supposed to do it from Dantooine but how?

Sorry for what I am sure is a noob question

Somebody should probably put this in the FAQ in the pilot forums - oh, they did!

Let me put it this way ... RTFAQ!

In case you need it spelled out, look under "How do I get faction points in space?" and think about the answer!

Quit being d1cks and just try to be a decent human being and answer the question.

Got to dant. space and find the rebel station. I'd post the coords. if I still had them....Imp. now.

One of the reb stations will give you access to kessel and deep space....if you qualify.

To give Urae a little credit, the current FAQ (3.0) has pretty much removed the ease of finding the Stations to send you to Kessel. Here's what I mean:

FAQ 3.0's mentions of getting to Kessel:

Q: How do I get faction points in space?

A: You are able to gain faction points by going overt at one of your factionally aligned stations in space. You can go covert by death or by landing. There are 2 types of factional stations. The first allows you to go overt usually named "Imperial I, II" or "Rebel I, II" you can find them in the system maps (use N in space). The second ones are for transport to Deep Space and Kessel. You can gain faction points in space while being "on-leave" for ground status.
  • Privateer: You are able to gain faction by declaring at a Rebel or Imperial Stations. And can gain faction points anywhere except Deep Space. Why not Deep Space?

    1. As an overt Imperial or Rebel you do not have any Imp/Reb Prestige to gain entry to deep space using the Factional deep space stations
    2. The Last Nav Station in Dathomir will NOT talk to you as a Rebel or Imperial overt
    3. You can access Kessel by using the factional "Deep Space" space stations in Dantooine space for Rebel or Endor space for Imperial.
    4. You can only use the factional "Deep Space - Kessel jump" stations when space overt.

FAQ 2.0's mentions of getting to Kessel:

Advanced

  • How does the Kessel Sector Work?
Kessel used to be a five faction sector. Rebel vs Imperial vs RSF vs Corsec vs Smuggler's Alliance. So for Rebels and Imperials this means you can attack anyone not in your faction. For Privateers this means you can attack anyone not in your faction, AND anyone not in your squadron!

THIS HAS BEEN CHANGED As of November 12th Kessel is now non-PvP except between overt people, you can declare prior to entering.

  • How do I get to the Kessel Sector?
Rebels get there from the Deep Space Station in the Dantooine System.
Imperials get there from the Empire Deep Space station in the Endor System
Freelancers get there from the Neutral Deep Space Station in the Dathomir System

I'm not complaining about Tomo's work on 3.0 of the FAQ, just commenting that this question seems to come up a *ton* and the answer has been quite hidden in the current FAQ, to the point of not really being an answer.
