Has anyone else noticed a major increase in lag in JTL starting with today's patch? I thought maybe it was just my connection today, but I talked to a few guildies, and they all said they were getting the same thing. In some area's the lag was so bad that the game wasalmost unplayable. In some battles I had no choice but to simply give up and leave because the NPC ships were jumping around the screen so much that it was impossible to follow them, much less get hits on them. Whatever the problem is, it really needs to be fixed.

I didn't notice it, but I was up helping a guild mate and he reported lots of jumping ships, and inability to do damage at all in some instances. From my view it looked like he was jumping around quite alot while the npc's behaved as they should. I did get some rubberbanding, but not more than other times.

I've seen more lag-related issues. Nothing was worse than LDing 6 timesduring the middle of space combat.

Only in deep space. And that was due to such a huge amount of ships that the laser fire was everwhere.
I had to kill like 30+ Imperial craft just to get it to a reasonable frame rate lol.

I have noticed some large lag areas on the ground, but not enough to make the game not playable. Space had some minor lag due to the fact there were tons of people flying around. Which is always good to see that some ppl have started playing the game. For the most part Space is Twitched based and is Real Time Combat so if you get space lag its either cause of population or your bandwith. If you are using a dial up and are in space you will more than likely get lag faster than someone with DSL or Broadband connection. Before I had my new system I had more lag that would make the game not even fun to play. Im sure the DEVs will place a hotfix in sometime soon

im actually getting better framerats and less lag.
one thing i have found to be very important, is to make sure the drive running the game is ntfs (under xp) and make sure you defrag after each patch. that makes a big difference.

Usually hangs around with Pvt. Ping, Lt. Lost Packet, and Sgt. Link Dead. Caution is stressed about those characters!
