I want to to buy a X45 or X52 but I need a clear answer about their compatibility. Are they compatible with Starwars Galaxies: Jump to Lightspeed? Which one in your opinion (of the two) are better for their price. Please tell about any in-compatibility's with them.

Same here, my X45 also works perfectly.
I didn't have to configure anything either.

I just bought an x52 and I seem to notice that it seems to work ok, the only problem is that there is a really large deadzone near the middle of the stick, you really need to turn it to get it to work. I have tried looking for a deadzone option but as there is no way of properly enabling the joystick from the SWG launcher I cant find any option to do so.
The stick is amazing, really comfortable, but with such a large deadzone it is a challenge to say the lease

I have the x45 and it works great. I've been interested in the newer x52 though. As for the deadzone setting, it is in the options (ctrl-o) menu. I'm at work so can't remember what tab but there is a slider control to set the deadzone.

as the x52 is not 'OFFICIALLY' recognised the game knows it is there but does not set up the proper joystick panel, ie you can not change those settings yet.
I think it will remain this way until it is 100% supported

I use the X45 and it works flawlessly. Here is a recent thread regarding the X52:

considering it took the devs 3 months to get the x52 working at all
I wonder how long it will be til the joystick is 100% supported.

Well my x45 stopped working after 12 came out, now I can't get it working in game again. It works fine with the other programs I got....
