I'm not certain if anyone else has run into this, but after making ace, I decided to try Deep Space once. In case you didn't know, Neutral Pilots (Corsec, etc) must choose a faction to represent in Deep Space. Now I chose CorSec for a simple reason, you can fly with anyone, and shoot anything (except other CorSec of course!). I've found out, to my subsequent dismay, that having made that one fateful choice to be rebel, the one time I went to Deep Space, I'm now permanently rebel everywhere I fly.
This sucks!
I can't help guildmates on some of their missions. And while I don't mind hunting in Kessel, its pretty damn annoying to have every Imperial agro you. Nothing like three tier 5 Tie Agressors targeting you unexpectedly.
I was wondering if anyone else has had this experience. And if you also consider this a bug. I don't mind being rebel or imp in Deep Space...I *DO* mind being rebel/imp *EVERYPLACE ELSE!*

It is a know issue, there is a sticky about it in the Pilots Forum, and it will get fixed eventually.
Until then, you should be able to unload, deed, generate, and load the ship you took to DS to reset the 'faction' of the ship. Don't ask how many paint jobs I've lost...

Sheena is right. Redeeding your ship fixes the problem.

SWEET!
That I can do. Its a pain but I'm willing to endure that to get my neutral standing back.

That's not necessarily the case... one of the Publish fixes aligned your space faction with your ground faction... So unless you aren't Rebel or Imperial on the ground that's what you'll be in space... Now if you are totally neutral on ground and space, then I don't know...
