Don't knoiw about a guide but I can help with the second part.

0/800 - Shield has 800 strength but is currently uncharged (equip it and shield will charge after you get into space)

500/800 - Shield has 800 stregth and ispartially charged (equip it and shield will finishcharging after you get into space)

800/500 - Shield has 500 strength and has beenovercharged (Equip it and it will drain back to 500 unless yoou use the overcharge command)

Looted engines, capacitors, boosters and droid interfaces are mostly always better then crafted.

Even numbered levels tend to have better stats then the next highest looted one (i.e. 6 better then 7) This is due to compairable stats and lower mass at this level.

You can have a loot part reverse engineered by a shipwright. To do this you need the same number of components, of the same type (i.e engines), as the RE level. For example a RE Lvl 6 booster would need a total of 6 ea to be RE'd. RE'ing takes the best stat of any of the parts, adds a bonus and spits out 1 item. the RE level (at the botom of examine) is usually the same as the Certification level, but there is a bug? that will cause this not to be 100% true.

So most all of it can be used, at least as "fillers" to RE with 1 or 2 nice lootem items you have.

You will be given items as "loot" after some missions, they include: 1 Engine , 1 Shield and 1 Borstel Disruptor. These are great parts and most every player will use them in at least 1 of thier ships. You get no notification, but the stats will be far better then most all the other loot you see

Most all of my ships at master (2 pilots) have:

  • Looted: Capacitors, Engines, Droid Interfaces (and the reward shileds RE'd)

  • Crafted: Reactors, Armor, Launchers (the non reward shields are all crafted)

  • Mixed: Weapons (all crafted in some and all looted in others)

I would recomend hooking up with a Shipwright you know, and they can probably help you along with stats even better. Another suggestion is to check out the loot items vendors from SW. The higher priced stuff will usually better and you might be able to compair stats better.

Hmm.

I'm pilot and MSW. And I know my craft :}

Equipment Breakdown:

Reactor: If you need a ton of power, generally, go looted C7-- you will eventually find one for over 20k energy and another with low mass that RE very nicely. I've done 6 in two weeks. Under 14k power crafted is superior.

Engine: MUST

Shield: Either/or. Crafted and Looted are on par. Depends what you're after. Odds are you should use Crafted until you get enough parts to make a RE'd that will outperform it.

Armor: Either/or. Crafted can be made to specific mass and offers decent protection; that being said, you can make an RE'd peice at 3k mass for 1200 Armor -- but it's not reliable, whereas crafted is.

Booster: If you have room, Looted is better. Crafted (properly) is a "close match" (adequate) and lighter.

Droid Interface: Not sure, still have the same pre-fixes I was using since launch, plus several spares.

Capacitor: MUST. Crafted Caps are a joke.

Weapons: Looted/Reverse Engineered! Crafted weaps are also a joke. Loot weaps do comparable damage at comparable mass with lower energy mass and have MUCH higher % effective than anything a shipwright can make, especially after RE, at any level. Why would you combine an Ion with a disruptor (crafted) on your ship when you can get the same % effective out of ONE RE'd gun, so 2 doubles your firepower.

Ordinance: There's no such thing as looted launchers or ordinance.

Countermeasures: No such thing as looted.

I just bought JTL and it is great addition to my game play, FREE TRAVEL

But what can you get a multipassanger ship so that friends you play with can travel with you and if so how?

Right now I have an Imperial Tie Fighter I want something that I can upgrade any suggestion?

And can anyone tell me how to get different ships, since I posted this Ive been reading the forum and it says I can have up to 3 ships. Im an imperial and want to know how to aquire other imperial ships.

hi Drakkov,

if your grouped with your friends and you own a MP ship if you select travel you can transport them to the new location asyou would when using the shuttle or transport ship. If they have JTL as well they can join you in your ship.

List of MP ships are

IMP - TIE Aggressor, VT49 Decimator

Freelance - YT-1300, think the Krayt is MP too

Rebel - Y-wing, Nova

All - Sorosuub Yacht (veteran reward)

To use these ships you have to level up to the following skill level.

Imp - TIE Aggressor lev 4xxx, VT49 level Master

Freelance - YT-1300 lev Master, Krayt lev 4xxx (i think)

Rebel Y-wing lev 2xxx and Nova lev Master

Yacht - novice

I personally when leveling the skill levels go 1xxx then 11xx then either of the other two. and repeat for the other levels. unlike the ground based game, you can not level one section then the next (ie 1xxx to 4000) you have to go up in the teir novice - 1111 - 2222 - etc...

When you look at buying your next ship i would recommend going for something with a best mass than best hitpoint, as the higher the mass the best components you can put in the ship. if you have any problems talk to a shipwright on your server (look around at their ships too). shame your not on Chimaera i would have sorted you out.

you need to buy the ships you are cert. for from a shipwirght. heres a site that if you click on the ships icon at the end gives you basic info on the ships + what level you need to be to fly them http://www.netadres.net/swg/

There is also a whole lot of information in the Pilot Forum, and the most useful of it is it stickies provided by the pilot corr, MonosofoLexius.
