Thread: Need Help: Jabba;s Gift Smuggler Alliance Mission

I am really struggling with this mission, by the time I get to the third ship I am swamped in enemy fighters, the more I kill, the more spawn. I have tried disabling rather than destroying to slow the spawns down to no effect.
Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong...

Letting yourself get bogged down is the issue. Disabling engines does work but you still need to be quick about it, and most of all you need to move as fast as possible toward your waypoints. IFF scramble is your best friend. Dont bother with any other pilot move at this point.Without adoubt,someone will recommend hyperjumping to somewhere else in the system to fool the AI, do it if you must, but I'll always feel that's a cheese-out and won't make you a better pilot. The mission is beatable solo, without exploiting the loophole, just keep your eyes on the prize.

When I was having trouble the first time, i tried the inhyper technique, only to get more spawns....same situation - new coords. So I ended up taking a friend to help deal dmg and ward them off while I did the docking. We got separated after a while but it all worked out and I got it done. Now to get that 4th mission finished.

the hyper one does work. I did it the other night with the imp one. You just might have to hyper 2 or 3 times in a row. lol When i did it in the imp one i hypered to a spot that was like 1k aways from them. They just clustered together and then i read the journal and it said i had to destroy them. So i attacked them and they went after me again.
