I'd like to make a macro that sends a /tell to a ship/player that is targeted. Is it possible to make a /tell command that is sent to your current target?

IE

/tell target IMPERIAL PILOT, ISD Behemeth here, We have detected a Rebel Ace Pilot in your area, TAKE EVASIVE ACTIONS IMMEDIATELY.

I want to have a macro lined up that will send out a warning to an enemy player in deep space and add a little star wars feel to it.

or for Rebels:

/tell target REBEL PILOT, Rebel Command Here, An Imperial Ace has been detected in your area, ENGAGE IMMEDIATELY.

Would be a lot of fun to be able to roleplay the deep space encounters instead of this silent skirmish that we have now. Half the time I can't even get the name in time to msg him after the fight.

If this can't be done with a /tell mabye we could get a space button for pvp enemy warning and for pvp friendly warning. Would be a lot more fun if players sent these messages or at least had the option.

A universal "tell target" would be good - its a pain having to type in someone's name if you want to tell them (espedially if someone tells you in the mean time). Space just makes it more awkward, because you've got even more to think about...especially in a battle.

Maybe we could have "Chat Channels" to match radio frequencies - Group would be your Flight, Guild your Squadron/Wing/Group, Tell would be a direct link...you could have a sector-wide "open" channel (like Planet chat), a factional channel...etc.

ehm...

what might be better:

/tt Rebel scum, prepare to die!

then he knows it's you that's coming after him.

Awesome, Thanx!!

What I use this for is 2 things.

1. I see an enemy and I hit my macro that sends my target a tell, :REBEL PILOT, This is Rebel Fleet Command, There is an Imperial ACE in your area, prepare to engage!

2. I send an imperial one to a friendly player letting him know there is a rebel ace (player) in his area.

I think it adds more challenge to the engagements and hopefully makes them more exciting.
