I can see when my engine overload is working because my speed increases. I can also see the weapon capacitor charge go up when I use the capacitor overload. But how do I tell whether I have used the reactor overload is there some value that I can look at once in space that compares to the values that I see in the ship manage window when I'm on the ground?
The same goes for the Weapon overcharge one, if i cannot remember whether i've already used that command, is there a way to check this?

There might be an easier way, but one method is to go into your components screen (just hit v) and see if your reactor and weapons have suffered any damage from the overload. If they've got a hair of damage on them--should be between like 2-20 on their armor--then you should know you've got your program running. Presuming you keep your ship well-repaired, anyway.
This is a good question, though.. I always load my commands the instant I hit space, so I've never really needed to know whether they're running often enough to find a better method to check.

I too load my commands as soon as I'm in space. But a few times I've used the emergency thrust command (freelance), which diverts power from everything to give you a bit of extra speed, but it resets the capactor so I have to re-do the command, but I cant tell whether I need to re-do the reactor overload again?

I could be wrong about this, but has anyone noticed the pitch, yaw, and role stats via the ship status screen represent the modified values (when you run engine overload)?
Coulda sworn I noticed the difference but will check again tonight.

If you are running EO3, you probably should not be using EThrust. From my experience, EThrust resets several droid programs, including EO, so the gain of EThrust is negated by the loss of EO.

Ethrust should be resetting all your droid commands, and yeah, not really worth it. Back when I was a privateer running EO3 it would actually lower my speed to use ethrust. Once you've got all your commands up, the only place I can think of where it'd be useful is if you've overloaded your energy or something and need to reset your droid commands because key components have been disabled.
Also, some droid commands will cause an "energy efficiency" stat to appear on the components screen on the parts that've been overloaded.. something like that, anyway. That'll show you the command's running.

I dont suppose you know which droid commands produce this"energy efficiency" stat to appear? so I can look out for one.
