Thread: Question regarding accounts WITHOUT JTL enabled...

I have 3 accounts and only one does not have JTL enabled. It seems as of today I can no longer group him with one of my JTL enabled account characters to take him along as I instantly travel between planets using the travel feature when accessing starship terminals. Is this a bug or was something done in the last patch to prevent this? Anyone else having this issue? I'd really like to not have to buy a THIRD copy of JTL along with my THREE retail copies I already own of Galaxies. Thanks for any input.

This is not a bug, if your 3rd account does not have JTL, he/she/it, will not be able to board JTL shipsor use any of the JTL perks...ie...travel with a group in a multi-player ship.

Is this something recent? As of last night it worked fine. I always knew that they could not explore space with JTL enabled characters as they don't have the expansion, but it would allow them to be grouped and travel instantly from world to world.

Now ya got me, I didn't know it worked before. I guess you will have to wait for someone more learned than me

I'm betting it probably has something to do with:
- The player can choose to send invitations to each of the listed members, if the player agrees, then they will be launched into space in the ship with the other agreeing members.
The UI for the invitation may have only been pushed to JtL-enabled accounts.

Well, appreciate the help anyway. It's certainly a stumper. It was a nice little perk being able to transport my alternate character instantly, but unless it starts working again, It'll be looking like it's something the developers snuck in without telling me. Damn shame...

I am willing to bet slave138 is correct and it was the patch that has UI inivte code when group members are travelling. And only JTL accounts would get that code. So I wouldn't say it was snuck in at all.

Well, if you already BOUGHT three copies of SWG then what is the issue with buying three copies of JTL? Besides, it makes sense that the NON-JTL accounts can't access the JTL ships because the accounts do not access to the JTL content (the ships and space layer).
But your question as already been answered in regarding the "Invite" option.

if you group with the non-jtl char and invite him via the group interface of the starship term, the char will still travel with you.
tried it myself a few hours ago and it worked.
