ok, i have played swg since launch but about a month before JtL came out i took a break and just came back about a week ago.
i've been playing the base game and noticed that everytime i logged in i would get a bright blue screen instead of the loading screen, i still got the loading screens when traveling between planets just not the one on the initial load.
I also noticed that when i opened the options ctrl+o there were black boxes between some of the bits of text.
since these were such small problems i just overlooked them, but i went today and bought jtl and installed.
i still get the blue screen on the inital launch and now i also get the blue screen when i try to launch into space.
once in space some of the UI are also messd up, i'm not sure what they are called in slang so i will refer to them the same way the manual does.
instead of the smallest crosshair of the reticle i get a small green square the same size.
instead of the mission critical bracket i also get a green square there
all of the toolbar buttons show up solid black squares and the same with the ship component status icons.
when i first get to space i get a text box with the training thing telling me to press alt and then select one of the options by ckicling it with the mouse but i dont' see any options to click.
the eject button shows up solid black.
i went into the swg chat and they gave me the link to the tech support chat and the guy there told me that my driver version was newer than the recommendd one by soe so i uninstalled it and reinstalled the old version that was recommended and i still get the same problem.
anybody have any ideas?

I was talking about video card driver and i have the newest version of directx

I'm sure this has been suggested and tried, but have you run a full scan in launchpad? Also, what are your system specs? CPU/CPU speed/MB chipset/RAM size/Video card/OS info may help provide better support.

BTW, when upgrading your driver, make sure you do a clean install. Download Driver Cleaner (do a search in google for the site), uninstall your old video driver and run Driver Cleaner to remove any residual files.

ok, thanks everybody for your suggestions, somebody on another site helped me and it worked
if anybody else encounters this problem just uninstall JtL, uninstall SWG, go into Program Files and delete the "station" and "Star Wars Galaxies" folders, restart computer and then reinstall swg and jtl. be srue to backup your screenshots first!
