Hye guys
Have a problem steering my ship. Keyboard commands work fine, but I can't steer using the mouse? It's not in "type" mode, but the mouse cursor is still on the screen. Anybody had this or know how to fix? Components are at 100%

If you're just seeing the mouse cursor and not the target indicator, hitting "Alt" will typically switch back. I'd also check your keymap settings to make sure you can toggle between "Look" and control.

I know this isn't much help to your original question, but a joystick helps A LOT. You could probably pick one up for $30.

when you say "mouse cursor" do you mean the white arrow? if so do you have the game screen set to windowed? I have the gamescreen set this way and I have found whenever norton does a update I lose control of my mouse movement ingame. Like anlther poster stated click on the alt key should do the trick, you can also use the ctrl key if you are in windowed mode, this will bring up your start screen in windows ( has a list of recently used programes) and with the white mouse on the game screen click the space bar and the green targeting cursor should appear and you will have better control agine, as for joystick I have a very good one and I guess it is because I am not use to joysticks but I accully prefeer mouse flight control ,coupled with the arrow keys, it gives me finer control then I seem to get with the joystick.
