Okay, just got Alliance Ace and got my Nova....put it together, question is....speed of nova...seems to take awhile to speed up and slow down...alot of inertia..is this normal for the Nova or do i just need a better engine?

That's normal for all the freighters.

The fastest way to accelarate in one is to press for max speed and hit your boosters, by the time that wears off you'll be up to the normal max speed.

I just got mine recently and have been testing it out. Something to say on the Nova...I put a 60, 60, 60, 110 engine in mine and the thing still takes for ever to get up to speed. I'd upgraded and old engine with this one and my old one was much, much worse...like a mark IV crafted I think. At max speed I saw pretty much zero difference in turning and the time it takes to get from 0-max. Now once you drop down to about 75%-30% throttle the responses on it really picks up and you can definately see the differences in the two engines.

My point is don't drop a load on an engine if you are looking for alot out of it in the turning/pick-up department. Also from what I've read on the boards about combat in the ship...you might consider going all out for max speed and picking up a really nice booster. Everyone seems to be saying 'keep her lvl and smooth to get those turrents the angles they need.' If you got a really fast engine and a good booster you could prolly put the badiesall on your rear deflectors (angle them up back there) and have alot of success just letting your gunners smoke them out while they chase you.

I plan on trying this tactic out as soon as I get my v6flight pc programmed, my chaff loaded, and find a gunner with more guts then sense.

I just recently recieved Master Pilot, now I brought a friend aboard my Nova Courier and all he was seeing was Conduits, he said that in another Nova someone else had panels as well? I've been through my Nova stem to stern (lol, sorry) and haven't seen any panels. Any thoughts on this?

I'm guessing here, but I'd guess you don't have the ship fully decked out.

I have panels.

Hm. Alright, there we go. Now I have them. I took everything off, redeeded the ship, generated the ship and loaded everything back on and launched. Now they're here. Dunno.

Yo Talley wassup?

Yeah the Nova has a few buggs I've noticed. I can't use texture kits on mine unless I redeed before I apply.

Yo! Wassup!

Well, after I redeeded it, the panels showed up, so maybe now the textures will work. Haven't tried to apply any yet though, may see about doing it tonight.
