Thread: Completing the Tier V Kashyyyk Station Destroy Duty Mission...

Tomo and I decided to try and tackle the new master level duty mission at the Kashyyyk space station. Its a standard destroy mission, where you go to a series of waypoints and destroy the fighters that spawn, however the thing that makes it difficult is that the "Ace" spawn in each cycle is Tier V gunboats. By the final cycle you have to take on five Tier V gunboats at once.

Anyways, it was a hard fight, but Tomo and I managed to complete it. For ships, Tomo was in a JSF with a level 10 and level 6 gun, and I was in a Krayt sporting three RE'd level 10 guns and a mark II space-bomb launcher. Since Tomo is an Imp, he wasable to use Bomber Strike to provide some cover, though he didn't start using it until the third cycle when we faced three gunboats at once. The final cycle was the hardest, obviously, and even with Bomber Strike we still had a gun boat or two chasing each of us most of the time. In end we had both lost most of our armor, and I had taken slight damage to my capacitor and one of my guns. However, the day was ours, andwe taught those Ghrag Mercenaries a painful lesson - Don't mess with the 121st.

P.S. As far as I know we're the first to complete this, unless someone else has done it and kept it a secret.

We had a pretty good ship combo for this mission. Imaridril was the heavy hitter in his Krayt, and while I packed a decent punch for an Eta-2, I was also trying to draw more of their fire to take advantage of my tiny size once I saw they were having a pretty hard time hitting me. Couldn't really do that once we had 4-5 of them on us and things got nuts, but once during the last wave I was able to hold them all off for a bit while Imaridril pulled back to restore his shields.. then they once more had to face the full fury of three ridiculously monstrous level 10 guns.

I tell you, it was a ton of fun flying with a wingman on a PVE mission again and needing both of you in top form. Gets me excited for the continued introduction of post-master high-end PVE content.

Hmmm I'll have to give that one a shot, sounds fun.

If you do try it, I would suggest bringing a nice capacitor along. Your shields will really take a beating, and the better the capacitor the quicker you'll be able to get them back up. If Tomo and I try it again I think I'm going to drop one of the level 10 guns on my Krayt down to a Level 8 and use the saved mass to put in my nice RE'd level 10 cap.

So was there a great reward for this great mission?

Besides a whole lot of fun and that great sense of pride, was there something else?

Just asking cuz I wanna do it some time but got other stuff to do. A reward would make me wanna do it a bit sooner.

Thanks and have fun

Just letting you know that RS has completed it many a times as a guild event, and I THINK it was soloed, but not sure.
