Thread: joystick troubles
does anyone have any idea how to change the joystick's speed?
for example when shooting at something when I move my joystick towards them the target cursor will move past it and then I have to move teh joystick back the other way.--I've tried fiddling with sensitivity and dead zones but that didn't really affect it.
It's like when you are moving fast in a ship, you don't turn as fast. How do you get it to be slower like that all the time?
If it matters at all I'm using a logitech cordless freedom, and man am I a noob for posting only my signature, the button wasn't working in firefox so I hit enter and that's what happened (lol)
3 quick points:
1) Some ships oversteer. If you are flying a Y-Wing or a B-Wing and center the joystick after a fast turn, the ship will likely continue to turn a bit more. They are like flying a bus. Don't confuse this with a joystick problem. Not everything turns on a dime.
2) Every ship has a "best turn speed." For the X-Wing, it turns fastest at around 50-65% throttle. The A-Wing turns best at around 85% throttle. If you are running at 100% and trying to turn, chances are that your turn radius will be about the size of a small country. If you want to keep guns on, you will need to throttle back a bit.
3) Logitech joysticks are junk now.
