I started furnishing my yacht today and it came to my attention that objects that you put IN storage containers IE armoires chests, cabinets etc STILL count against your total ship item count which is rather unfortunate as i still have much more furniture to place but i cant. is anyone else aware of this bug ? are there any plans to fix it ?

Er, this is exactly how houses work on the ground. Not a bug, working as intended.

Very sure. Adding or removing items from a container inside a house raises or lowers the number of objects in that house, and counts towards its overall storage.
Try it in yours

Correct, otherwise I would have 1 small naboo house comprised of 100 Bookcases, backpacks, and other containers which in turn would allow me to store about 5000 items.
Would be nice tho

Decorate your yacht but don't use it for storage, is my suggestion. I have a small house on Corellia that I have container in to help organize all the looted stuff I don't want to carry, but don't want to dump. More space for cool furniture effects in the yacht.
