check your keymap settings, you may be set for joystick only and you're using a mouse or vice-versa. If this happens, it defaults to doing loopty-loos until you either change the setup, or exit the station.

When I get into other peoples multi player ships, if I go into a turret all it does is spin counter clockwise, its impossible for me to keep it centered. I have tried it in three different ships . A YT, a decimator, and a Krayt, they are all the same. Im sure there is a stupid button in my settings Im missing or something, but I cant figure it out. When Im in my Interceptor it does nothing out of theo ordinary in any way. PLEASE HELP ME!

I see this is a sticky so I will tell you what I did to fix it, being the computer genius that I am, I tried to recalibrate my joystick, and for some reason was unable to do that, even though I could see that it had some twist in it, and was leaning up and left to a small degree. So, I just unplugged it and reinstalled it, calibrated it like it was a new joystick and the problem was solved.

Simple I know, troubleshooting 101, but thats why trouble shooters always ask, "Is it plugged in/turned on" first

The other favourite is 'restart the computer'
