For those of us Imp's on the ground, in other words, Imperials, who chose RSF Privateer, the ones who shoot Rebel ships in space, are we not able to go overt Imperial in space?
We're not master yet, so maybe that's the problem, but I thought since:
- We are assigned missions that have us killing Rebels, with anti-Rebel content
- We can kill Rebels when grouped with Imperials in Imperial Missions
- We are told to go overt when entering PvP zones
- RSF appears to be generally alligned with Imperial, no ?!?
But the Endor stations do not allow us to go overt, telling us "come back when you are an Imperial."
Whadup?

i think they said if you go to your ground factions space station you could declare overt as that faction thats why you cant be a reb pilot and a imp on the gound lol.

Someone who just got Master RSF privateer was able to go overt only after attaining master ?!? and still could not go overt into Deep Space??
WTH, where's the logic in this? So no zone PvP for Privateers in Deep Space as Overt? No Faction points when RSF kills a Rebel? Is that right?

i'm RSF master pilot and ground imperial
I can go overt imperial in any imperial station in space, thus gain FP killing rebel ships
I can enter kessel at endor's space station as overt
BUT i can't go into deep space overt : the npc tell me i need 30 000 pilot prestig exp (even if i gained more than a million as overt in space)
Currently bugged and known issue, but devs were on holidays... maybe they will fix it when they come back.... after the hangover goes away, so let's say in 3 weeks

Yeah, I have the same problem too, and I hope they fix this "omission".
I'm RSF Ace pilot in space, and Imperial on the ground. Here is a summary of what I observed:
- I can go Imperial-overt at any Imperial space station, which means all my kills in normal space give me Imperial faction.
- Once Imperial-overt, I'm considered Imperial, which means I can no longer talk to "neutral" stations" such as Last Nav in Dath space.
- Imperial Deep Space stations, such as the Imperial Claw in Endor, let me talk to them and allow me to go to Kessel, where I still gain Imp FPs for rebel kills when overt as Imp.
- Imperial Deep Space stations require that you pay 30K of Imperial Ace Prestige Points to go to Deep Space, which I do not have since all my prestige points are "standard neutral" pilot prestige points.
- The Last Nav Deep Space station in Dath won't let me spend my 30K prestige to go to DS since they think I'm Imperial, so they won't even talk to me.
- Entering DS as covert neutral and then joining the Empire (which is my only choice since I'm a ground Imp) works, but even though I'm PvP enabled and vulnarable to other rebel players,I get no faction points for rebel kills in DS.
Bottom line:
- Neutral pilots that have a ground faction and go overt in space as that same faction *can* gain faction points for opposite faction kills in normal space and Kessel.
- The no-faction in DS cannot be by design, because we are obviously meant to be allowed faction points. It has to be an omission. Whether PvP is automatic (i.e DS) or optional (going overt in normal space), the end-result should be the same: we deserve faction points.
Question to TH/Tiggs: Can you comment on this and let us know when this will be fixed? If I cannot gain faction points as a privateer pilot in space when I have a ground faction, this is a MAJOR drawback to being privateer and I never would have gone privateer otherwise, especially RSF since I'm never allowed to shoot Imps (except when I manned the Krayt turret in my ground-rebel/privateer friend's ship, lol).

Sounds like you tried to declare at the only imperial station that you cannot declare at, empire's claw in the endor system
This station is not meant for declaring, it's meant for (space-)imperials to access kessel and deepspace.
Any other imperial station should work for going overt, they at least work for my RSF alt

I am a master RSF pilot and am able to go into deep space. You need to goto dathmoir and just pick the imperial side. DO NOT DECLARE before going there or you cannot go in.

You can go overt when master pilot, in normal space, but cannot access Deep Space. Normal space is fine.

Your WRONG.. As a master Pilot you can access Deep Space.. I am a Neu RSF pilot and go in all the time. If you decalre you cannot enter deep space. You have to goto the deep space location and then they ask you if you want to go rebel or imperial...

Deepspace which was brought up here by "answers" was however not at all being part of the initial question, indicated by the 'not master yet' part of the initial posting

Are you getting Imperial faction awarded to you? We can get in, non-overt, but then not getting faction... its the overt we're looking for to get faction awards for our kills on rebels.

hmm........guess I'll just stick to the missions and helping others rather than deal with this problem.
