I was wondering what exactly these stats influenced when it comes to a ship's maneuverability. I have heard that higher numbers mean your ship is just generally more maneuverable, but I have also heard that they affect a ship's optimal speed, with higher numbers meaning your ship can maintain its maneuverability at higher speeds. Does anyone know the definitive answer on this? Thanks for your help.

The inate stats on a chassis are static acceleration values. The visible stats on the engines themselves are the true maneuverability stats...the acceleration mods just tell give you a hint how well/quickly a ship will react when you apply directional control.

a higher ypr will make you turn alot harder, try using a crafted mkIV engine vs the reward, you will notice a difference. the ypr effects the turn rate, like a degrees per second.

the optimal turning speed stays the same, but with a higher ypr you get a boost in turn rate from being stationary to going full speed.

and really its just the yaw and pitch you should be worried about.
