Well, i dont know if this is going too far or not... If it is, delete this post It's mainly for those in the 'public' forums that think the devs dont ever do anything.

Here are today's patch notes!! Happy TGIF!

October 22, 2004


Missions

* Changed the routes on several Tatooine Imperial teir 2 missions in Lok and Yavin4.
* Lowered difficulty of Twilight Sun mission and Hostage Transport mission for Tatooine Imperial Tier 2.
* Moved a spawner away from the point that you need to defend in the Rebel mission "Survival of the fittest". Also cut down the number of bombers in the attacking waves.
* The Rebel Tier 1 trainer on Tatooine, Cmdr Da'la Socuna will now grant you the Rebel novice pilot skill no matter which conversation option you pick.
* Increased the length of time that the freighter travels in the last tier 4 mission of the Corellia Rebel track.
* Tier 1 Rebel "Hunt" missions will not send you to spawners with Tier 2 ships anymore. Bombers will also be more rare at these locations.
* Moved the waypoints for the second Tatooine Tier 1 patrol mission closer to the space station and away from hostile spawners.
* Tatooine Privateer: Dravis has got some new Intel and mission #2 waypoints will now send you to Black Sun spawns.
* Fixed the Concussion Mk I missiles so that they will acquire targets properly.
* Reduced the length of the Imperial tier1 escort missions
* Reduced the number of bombers that appear in Rebel Corellia track, tier 4 mission 1. Also made sure that Nym and Black Sun doesn't like each other anymore which should help in the battles in these missions.
* In the Rebel mission where you need to find out what the Hutt smugglers know about Endor, one of the spawners spawned tier 5 bombers. This is now fixed to spawn the proper amount.
* Moved the waypoint in Brother Ezkiel's first mission so you don't have to defend against the incoming enemies as well as zone spawns.
* Fixed a bug where users couldn't activate/deactivate there waypoints on tier 1-3 missions
* Corellia Privateer: Removed the Nova Courier from Captain Rikkh's capture duty mission
* Corellia Privateer: Moved the Black Sun ace bombers away from the escort portion of Sgt Rhea's third mission and shortened the overall length of the mission.
* Tatooine Privateer: For Talon's transition quest, The Corsair Behemoth's escorts have been reduced in difficulty.
* Naboo Privateer: The escort portion of Captain Dinge's third mission will now run properly.
* Naboo Privateer: Changed the attacking craft type for the last portion of Diness Imler's 2nd mission.
* Corellia Privateer: Increased the delay between attacks for the delivery portion of Cmnd. Ramna's second mission.
* Fixed Pilot Profession Badge Descriptions.
* In the Rebel mission where you need to find out what the Hutt smugglers know about Endor, one of the spawners spawned tier 5 bombers.

New User

* The JTL New User 'yellow-ribbon' client-path to the first trainer will be destroyed upon speaking with the trainer.
o A new client path from the trainer back to the starport will be created when the first mission is issued.
* New JTL users with existing characters will be given a JTL start location screen upon login, allowing them to choose a trainer and moving them to the start location associated with that trainer.
* Recruitment emails will not be sent to non-JTL players.

Art

* Added variety to starship explosions of all sizes.

Crafting

* Added craftable green-bolt blaster variants.
* Fixed a problem with invisible factory crates for Countermeasure Packs
* Changed resource weights for missile launchers
* Changed resource weights for missile packs
* Fixed paint job color switching on Firespray LODs
* Changed resource weights for ship chassis.

SpaceAI

* NPC ships have improved flight dynamics.
* Fixed bad hit detection areas on A-Wing

Sounds

* Blacksun medium fighters now have their own unique sound.

Zones

* Dantooine station now has a re-supply delay similar to Dathomir's.
* Denizens of the Ferrous Aurora in the Yavin System are less hostile to the Hutt faction.

Client Stability Enhancements

* Improved the look of the zone map on low end cards
* Improved loading times
* Fix screen shots that are taken on auxiliary monitors that are left or above the primary monitor in the virtual desktop

Armor

* Ithorian defender & sentinel armor has been swapped, since the latter looked heavier

UI

* In space, ctrl-2, ctrl-3, etc., will now target the ships of the other people in your group.
* Added Zone Map palletization
* Start location descriptions for JTL-users include the city descriptions, squadron names.
* Fixed ticket purchase screen visual appearance when playing at higher than 1024x768
* Added a bindable key (shift-c by default) to target the nearest space station and /comm it.
* Fixed rare crash bug on zoning with HAM bars.

SpaceUI

* Group members are colored green on the radar.
* Booster bar is hidden if you don't have a booster.
* When a missile is locked on your ship, the text "incoming missile" is displayed.
* Improved pathfinding and obstacle avoidance code for NPC ships.
* In the space group window the last ship in the group will no longer have it's name clipped in the UI
* The zone map now displays the names of waypoints, hyperspace points, space stations, and mission criticals in the viewer. Additionally, the selected target in the viewer will display it's name at all times.
* Fixed a selection related bugs that would leave the selection bubble on the player's ship when moving around in the viewer. If a selected object is told not to render, the selection bubble will now be hidden
* Clicking on the name of an object in the zone map's data tree column on the right will now automatically enable viewing that type of data. For example, if you click on a waypoint and rendering waypoints isn't enabled, it will be turned on. (Check this one out it is very cool!!!)

Flyout UI

* Fix slot names to match "V" screen and ship management on the ground

Trainers

* The Shipwright skilltrainer will not teach skills to non-JTL players.
* Major Eker the Tier 2 Rebel trainer on Yavin led you to believe that your destroy duty would let you blast TIE's but the mission is against Hutt's. Updated the conversation.

Ships

* Yachts will not be able to go overt.
* Yachts cannot enter the pvp zones.
* It is now possible to target and destroy NPC turrets on vessel that have them.
* Disabled ships should no longer self destruct while you are docked with them.
* The Science Transport ship now has all effects hooked up now.
* ShipEngines: no longer display base acceleration and deceleration since this now lives on the chassis
* Hutt light fighter style 2 boosters now have proper effects.
* Sorosuub Space Yacht now has interior ambient sounds.
* Enemy ships locked to a specific player's quest should no longer attack players who aren't in that player's group.
* fixed underway replenishment and repair/reload commands reload functionality.
* Fixed bad certifications on countermeasure launchers

Pets / Vehicles

* Pets and Vehicles will auto-store when the player uses a launch terminal.

Player

* When being sent back to the ground, you should always come out at the landing location. Previously you would come out at the launch point if not landing via a space station.

POI

* Points of interest are now broken into Active and Inactive groups and have differing icons for their state.

Well a lot of the stuff in there won't mean anything to non-Beta players anyway, so I doubt it's a big deal for you to post the patch notes.

i think hes saying it for the prinicple of the thing...uno like how we say the devs dont do any thing when they really are

I know why he posted it; I was saying that it's not likely the Devs/Mods will care that he posted it (since he opened the post with " Well, i dont know if this is going too far or not...").
