OK well since i haven't got any response here is a picture of the problem i am having so someone can see the problem first hand, i hope this doesnt break the NDA but apparently no one is looking in to this so i hope this screen shot works there is nothing in this screen that shows anything besides the little black stars that i get when i launch into space and there is no reference to JTL or anything on the pic i posted.

I thought beta ended tomorrow.

I used to have this problem, and so did a lot of people with Radeons. I have no idea what happened but the problem got fixed. I think the devs did something.

Im sure TH or one of the other Devs will give us a few days of warning before they shutdown the beta servers. And plus, close down Beta on a weekend of testing? Thats just silly

try using an older geforce driver, and check you settings under the nvidia panel.

Corrilla, system is the pic and why would i roll back to a older driver, i have tried various drivers all my stuff is updated, ive set the driver settings on the defaults, there is nothing running in the back ground the game when i run it. i have ran msconfig, and restet my machine to fun a normal start up and it still doesnt work, the only way i get stars is if i turn off the shaders on my card, which is kinda crazy it should work with the shaders set on optimal or 2.0 or 1.4 but it doesnt, i have posted all this information before in the long ass post in the beta forums. lol i hope a dev takes a look at this post and the screen shots and helps me out, i have been playing well over a year and would like some tech support on this issue.

ps im am pretty good at teching stuff out my self but thing has me stumped and im getting quite aggravated.

lol

Corellia is the "darkest" system, admittedly. I have an old GeForce myself, but I don't have that issue. Weird. Check your settings, and get several driver sets to try them out. I've done that several times in the ground game to solve "halo" issues and such.

I also run a 5700 ultra and get the same effect. I too have tried several driver versions and different settings.

the little black dots are indeed stars, i played another mmorpg which shall remain nameless an had trouble with test and the UI, and reverting to an older geforce driver resolved my issue. it had something to do with their dx9 programming and dx9c fixed the problem. thats why i suggested it to eliminate a solution. then we would know if it was a hardware or something deeper in the HAL maybe or the coding with that particular card.

you asked and i offered what i know has worked for me in the past. another thing i would suggest is to be sure that your fan on the card is working. if everything visually is checking out i would call your manufacture and let them know of your issue. there are some 256 meg gforce cards out there that arent true to the standard and maybe the architecture of the card itself is causing the issue and only the manufacture can resolve it at that point IMO.

ohand check with them to see if there is a bios update for your graphics adapter.

It seems to be an nvidia issue, I see stars just fine with my radeon. Try different drivers, the latest aren't always the best.
