Droid programs can be freely swapped between pilots.A tier 1 Privateer pilot could talk to a tier 4 Imperial pilot and ask him to program a weapon overload for him and then go and use it in his flight computer. You can use any program (regardless of level or profession) at any time, you just can't make the program unless it's in your skilltree.
So, just for clairification, a Rebel pilot could trade/buy from an Imperial pilot let's say the "Bomber Strike" program and it would work?Ifit does would the Bombers called in be TIEs or B-wings??
Hehe... this generates some silly visions in my mind.

Ata cost, however. If you're a novice pilot you can only use a level 1 droid that can hold 20 items. The higher the level of the command the more spots it takes up. For example, once you train the first droid box you have 6 commands available to you that take up 22 slots (1 for mute, 1 for normalization and 5 spots for the 4 different shield commands).

You forgot to mention the the 2-seater ships.
Imperials get the TIE Aggressor - a two person fighter: One person pilots, the other shoots the guns
Rebels get the Y-WIng - a two person fighter: One person pilots, the other shoots the guns
Privateers get the...ugh....umm.....nothing.
I hate to be so pesimistic but I'm starting to think that the Privateer profession will become the Smuggler, Pistoleer, Squad Leader, Ranger type professoin for space. The Developers will promise to add all this cool stuff to bring it on par with Rebel and Imperial pilots but it never will.
It's unfortunate that this stuff happens. I mean, the Hutt Kimogila or the Heavy Black Sun fighter could have easily been set up for the two-person ship since they're not really "canon" ships...pretty much free reign with them. I saw no point in not allowing Privateers the same type of functioning ship as Rebels or Imperials except to push people to become a Rebel or Imperial pilot...which is stupid since both Rebels and Imperials can become Privateers as well.
Blah, ranting. Very nice thread, Randonb![]()
You forgot to mention the Master level Privateer fighter!
...
Oh, yeah... there isn't one
But there are four variations on each of the Black Sun ships, so Privateers at least get a variety of appearances. It's just a shame there's no way to view the ship's blueprintsbefore you spend money on it... and spend money again to make it into an actual ship.
Thank gods for fansites... at least they'll have pictures posted soon
I would guess no, but, I haven't tested that yet. However, just to be clear, tactics like "Bomber Strike" is NOT a droid program. Droid programs have to deal with changing power configurations in your ship (shields for rebels, weapons and engine for Imps and reactors for Privateers).

I actually think the Bomber Strike is an Imperial space tactic that can only be accessed by climbing the --x- line of Imperial Pilot. Same with Privateers' Pirate Trap.
The programs are more like "ship functions" of shield functions, reactor overcharge, weapons and stuff.
- IFF Transponder Scramble: scramble enemy IFF (Identify Friend or Foe) systems to make them have a chance to attack one another instead of you
- Jump Start: "heal" a friendly's shields bytransferring your ownweapon capacitor energy
- Emergency Shields: Increase power toshieldsat the cost of disabling other systems. Chance that your ship will simply shut down for about 20 seconds.
- In System Ship Repair: have an NPC ship come andoffer repairs wherever you are, for a sky-high cost. At higher levels, can be used to repair other friendlies.
- Underway Replenishment: have an NPC ship come wherever you are (when not in combat) and restock your missiles and countermeasures. Again, for a price.
- Shield Front Adjust: Increase power to front shields, at the cost of rear shields
- Shield Front Reinforcement: Transfer energy from the rear shields to the front shields
- ShieldRear Adjust: Increase power to rear shields, at the cost of front shields
- ShieldRear Reinforcement: Transfer energy from the front shields to therear shields
- Shields Normalization:Resume normal shield settings.
- Emergency Thrust:Increase power to enginesat the cost of disabling other systems. Chance that your ship will simply shut down for about 20 seconds.
- Pirate Trap: Summon a group of pirates, who will attack everything in the area.
- Energy Pulse: Point blank area effect damage. At higher levels, likely to cause subsystem damage.
- IFF Transponder Scramble: scramble enemy IFF (Identify Friend or Foe) systems to make them have a chance to attack one another instead of you.
- Reactor Overload: increase reactor output, at the cost of overstressing it. Presumably damages the reactor itself.
- Reactor Normalization: resume normal reactor settings.
- Pump Reactor: Increase reactor output (increases effectiveness of all systems).
- Emergency Weapons: Increase power toweaponsat the cost of disabling other systems. Chance that your ship will simply shut down for about 20 seconds.
- Bomber Strike: Summon a group of TIE Bombers to aid you against a single target. When target is destroyed, they leave.
- Nebula Blast: Point blank area effect damage, only usable inside of a nebula.

No YOU are wrong...privateer does get the yt-1300 at master!!! and all pilot masters get the firespray certification! and ykl-37r is the Nova Courrier Right? If so then privateers DONT get that!

No, the YKL-37r is the Rebel Master multiplayer ship
They also get the B-wing
Privateers get the YT-1300, and that shipalone at Master level
The Firespray doesn't count, if only because it's a rather rare looted ship schematic and all Pilot treesare giventhe certification, so it's not exclusive to Privateer
