Forced PvP at master anyways.. which sucks, because it only takes less than a second to get blown up by PC ships at that point. So forget trying to get places and do stuff

Cant you imagine though... a newb in a Z-95 (or TIE light) trying to shoot at your TIE opressor (or B-Wing)...You then turning around... Firing one shot and completely annihalating it?

Then getting the angry tells of "OMG U FEGIT!!!11one WHY j00 sh00t MEz DOWN!!!111oneone"

Its only forced in the sense that to level up to Master, you have to enter one of the 2 PvP sectors and there its a free for all. Everywhere else you are still neutral to other playersunless you declare yourself Overt PvP at Imperial/Rebel Space stations.

The only people entering these PvP sectors (unless they are stupid or lost) will be 4/4/4/4 or Master Pilots.

Sorry todisappoint some of you- but no sitting by Corellia Space Station n00b ganking

To level Master Pilot, you have to destroy some NPC's that happen to be in the PvP zones. So, there is much opportunity for griefers to work their idiosyncrasies.

I think it's great, and ads a sence of realism. if you know your goingn into a dangerous part of space, grab your buds and go as a squadron. I recomend sending a tell to your bud that has the decimator

The concept of "forced grouping" for advancement and the Master certification missions being in PvP-specific space zones was opposed by roughly 75%-80% of Beta participants. We do not know yet whether or not these issues will still be present in Live.

However, if the Master certs are stillin PvP-specific space zones, the issue of griefing/ganking will become apparent very quickly. As evidence of that, early in Beta, the PvP zones were opened to Beta participants. Master certs and Master class fighters were placed on the Frogs. Within 30 minutes, the spawn point for people entering the zones was determined and camped. Over 100 PC Imperial fighters surrounded the spawn point. Survival time for anyone trying to enter was under 2 seconds - usually before the loading screen finished, the player ship had already exploded.

A temporary fix was put in to change the spawn point relatively randomly, but towards the end of Beta, the spawn point again became fixed. Fortunately by that time all of the testers came to understand that testing content was the issue and a very amicable detente was reached among the factions. PvP within Kessel was volutarily moved to the area around the Imperial Star Destroyer, and we all had a lot of fun testing ships and PvP skills there.

Will a similar arrangement be reached Live if the Beta system is still present? Not likely. Will it become a major issue? Very likely.

I had part of this in the beta. Had an idiot in a Z-95 blasting away at my escort target in Dathomir for about 5 minutes. He couldn't damage it since it was part of my mission. I got rather tired of him, so I /duel'ed him. He chose to accept just after another wave of NPC enemies spawned, showing great class. So I blasted him with my TIE Advanced, then took care of the enemies.

Didn't get the /tell though.
